Growing into your Extraordinary Self

Posted by Intuition Girl

There is a song often sung by Kermit the Frog on the popular children’s network, Sesame Street, “It’s not easy being green.” It is one of those simple songs that is often passed off as a child’s melody, but in actuality, it teaches you a useful lesson in self-confidence. In the lyrics, Kermit initially talks about how it is not easy being green and how he might rather be more colorful so he could stand out among the crowd. But as the tune progresses, he realizes that he does not have to limit himself to what he is, because, “…I am green and it’ll do fine, it’s beautiful and I think it’s what I want to be.” All too often, you can easily get caught up in your self-imposed limitations:

  • “I would love to be successful but I keep falling into dead-end jobs,”
  • “I hate my job but I don’t know anything else except assembly line work,”
  • “I would love to be rich but I never have the time or resources to go back to school,”
  • “I hate being lonely but I can’t be in a steady relationship because work is just too busy,”
  • “I hate being everyone’s doormat but I just can’t say no;”
  • “But…but…but…”

Remind you of anyone you know? If you are the king or queen of excuses, then you need to learn how to grow into your extraordinary self.
If you are quite content with the life you have then that is perfectly fine. This means that you are already living in your extraordinary self, and you enjoy happiness and contentment. But if you are like so many who want to get more out of life, are unhappy with your current lifestyle, or if you simply just want to feel like you are fulfilling your life purpose, then this article is for you. Like Kermit, becoming extraordinary is right there within your reach. You must practice self-realization and self-actualization.

There is more to life than what you have, and you can achieve wealth, prosperity, health and happiness when you are ready to start receiving blessings in your life. No, it will not happen overnight. In fact, any success takes self-confidence, commitment and willingness to be open to new challenges to bring you where you need and want to be. Does it mean that I am going to have to work harder, you ask? You bet your bottom dollar you are going to have to work harder. But you will also need to learn how to work smarter. No end goal falls into your lap just because you desire it to do so. If you want a better job, you will have to network and apply yourself and any resources you have to attain it. If you want a loving relationship, you must set aside time to meet that special someone and make it happen. If you want to switch careers, you must seek training and educational opportunities so you can achieve career change.

If you find that your life is becoming a cycle of endless repetition, the problem is you. You reap what you sew…you attract the fruits of your labor. But remember this, the same holds true for those of you who are working harder and smarter to achieve prosperity and happiness. You too, will attract the fruits of your labor. Before you know it, you will be whistling, “It’s not easy being green,” with the realization that nothing is impossible once you step into yourself and understand that your extraordinary self has been there all along.

Filling the Cornucopia of your Life

Posted by Intuition Girl

In my life, Thanksgiving brings a sense of renewed hope, love and reflection. I take this time to honor the people and events in my life, which have given me the inspiration, motivation and support to be who I am.

Do you see the beauty and bounty in this simple yet nourishing horn of plenty? I do. When I look at the cornucopia filled with an array of fruits, flowers and nuts, I appreciate the wonder and miracle of Nature’s harvest. Moreover, the cornucopia is the promise of blessings to come; and if you put just a little motivation behind your short-term goals, you will eventually achieve your long-term aspirations.

How plentiful is your cornucopia? If you are so fortunate to have family and friends to share your turkey-day feast, consider yourself very lucky. But before the main event… before you chow-down on delicious pumpkin pie, sultry turkey and egg nog – I want you to reflect on all the gifts in your life. Really take a few minutes to think about all the things that have gone right in your life. There must be something or someone that has been a blessing to you. Whether it is a close friend, who is always there to lend a hand – a warm home to call your own – the pet that never leaves your side, or the job that has paved the way for all the material things you own, now is the time to give thanks for all those things you often take for granted.

But I am struggling, Joan Marie – how can you expect me to be thankful when I have nothing to be thankful for, you say? There is always a positive flame burning for you if you only seek it. Inside each and every one of you is an abundance of wisdom that you can use to step into affluence – affluence of health, wealth and joy. You only need to make the choice to pursue happiness and prosperity. Once you do, you are well on the way to filling your metaphorical cornucopia. Remember, your horn of plenty can only become plentiful once you begin adding to it. If you continue to see a barren placeholder for the things that you want out of life, it will continue to remain empty. Start seeing the beauty and wholeness of who you are and the blessings will begin to flow.

Until we speak again, I am

Opportunity comes fast and furious

Posted by Intuition Girl

Have you ever noticed that when opportunity arises, it’s never in “our time”? Rather, it comes at sometimes the most “inopportune” times – meaning that we’re often not prepared to receive it and use it to our advantage.

Here’s a great example: An individual I know (we’ll call him Dan) had a fairly-good career, but he was pining to move to another part of the country to be near the rest of his family. Dan had begun submitting resumes to different employers for a couple of months, when he suddenly got a phone call. In a twist of “unexpected” fate, he was offered the position he’d been trying to attain. Now Dan had to reshape all his current plans because the opportunity came so quickly. It took Dan a few days to make his decision to move, but only after he was caught so off guard. But was he really? You see, Dan had made the active decision months earlier to pursue another career. The intention was planted, and as time unfolded, his actions ruled his outcome – those actions transformed into his acquiring the job he sought.

Many times, we plant seeds of intention…unintentionally. What I mean by that is sometimes we start thinking about what we want; except when we do, we have planted a seed of intention. Intention turns to action, and action results in an equal reaction.  The same holds true for ill thoughts. Unlike Dan, there are some people who bring negative results into their lives because they plant unhealthy seeds in their minds. If you can think it, it can happen. The whole point of the matter is that whatever you think, you become. So if your true intention and desire is to land the job of your dreams, you will subconsciously begin acting on that thought’s behalf. The same holds true for pessimism and procrastination. If you think that you “can’t” perform a certain job, or “I’ll never own a house,” or “I can’t get that promotion,” etc. — then guess what? You won’t.

Opportunity always comes fast and furious but we have to be ready to receive it. When we plant the seed of intention – for whatever that may be – we must realize that it will come. It may not magically appear overnight, but when opportunity does come knocking at life’s door, you’ve got to be mentally and intuitively prepared by opening your mind to the potential and blessings that are ready to come into your life.

What are you thinking at this moment? If you’re like Dan, you’re ready to acquire prosperity, wealth, and happiness. You can’t afford to not be prepared for opportunity. You know that whatever it is that your heart desires that you can attain it. But it begins with a seed of intention, and that intention requires action on your part. How far are you willing to go to land the job you’ve always wanted? How deep are you willing to dive to find that buried treasure? How long are you going to keep stopping yourself from achieving success? It really boils down to you. You are a walking billboard indicative of your life. What you project is just as important as what you take into your mind’s eye. When your perception of life is in tune with your focus of intention, you begin to rapidly increase your chances at opportunity. Go ahead – plant your seed for opportunities today. I know you can, and so do you.

Intuition and Marketing: Creating $$ with Strategic Visioning

Posted by Intuition Girl

If your goal is to manifest wealth and success in your business, then you must mentally prepare yourself to achieve what it is you want.  In order to reach your true potential for prosperity, you need to use strategic visioning to develop a healthy and productive atmosphere.  But what exactly is strategic visioning, and what does it have to do with your intuition?  Allow me to elaborate:

If you are a business professional, or are in the process of establishing your entrepreneurial venture – it is time to learn about strategic visioning so you can create a rich environment for yourself.  Adapted to the Universal flow of energy, your intuition is an excellent resource to create abundance and professional success.

When you absolutely desire prosperity, strategic visioning is an essential instrument to fulfilling your heart’s ambitions.  Drawing on past and present experiences, likely tendencies, and strengths and opportunities to form an intricate plan in climbing the ladder to financial freedom, is what strategic visioning is all about.  Not only do we apply analytical conclusions to developing our outcome, we must also rely on our intuition.  Why? Our intuition is in direct alignment with the Universal flow of energy that dictates our destiny.  When we listen to our inner wisdom to gain knowledge and inclinations for our appropriate plan of action in combination with strategic visioning, we are using our mental and emotional awareness to its fullest potential.

How does strategic visioning and intuition generate $$?  Good question.  In order to accumulate wealth and prosperity in life, you must plant the seed of creativity in all you do.  When you tap into your intuition, you are tapping into a powerful source of information.  Imagine walking on a tight rope with a balancing pole.  Your rope is about 30 feet in the air.  If you look back or down, you might get dizzy. However, your balancing pole is what keeps you level as long as you look straight ahead and focus on meeting your objective at the other side.  Your intuition is much like this balancing pole.  It is your guide to keeping you in-tune with your intent and your focus.  And when you’re walking a literal or figurative tight rope in life, you can’t turn back or look down because it takes your eye of the mark. Your ”rope” is your support system or lifeline, and part of your strategic vision to accomplishing your goals. You can reflect on past experiences and use them as a challenge to overcoming obstacles; but you should never retreat or look down upon yourself, as you will certainly become unbalanced.

How far along are you on your tight rope of life?  Are you using your balancing pole (intuition) and are you grounded on your rope (strategic vision)?  These are key to creating the success you desire, and gives you the ability to corner the market for wealth and prosperity.

Sharing the Truth with your Ego Mind

Posted by Intuition Girl

Question # 2

Hi Joan Marie:

Thank you for blessing all of our lives. It has been a great privilege to have been directed by the Universe to you. I still do not know the exact direction my life is going but I am working on it. I need to take better care of myself so that I don’t continually sabotage my outcome. I know I have a lot of work to do on myself and I would really love to truly believe in my possibilities and myself.

I know for a fact that I have huge potential; I just do not have the sight you have or see exactly what my future life will be. I would appreciate if you would share some thoughts with me as to how I can keep my energy high so that my ego will no longer take me down for not having the money to move forward or the self talk that stops my forward movement.

Thank you for your assistance,

Jackie K.

ANSWER

Dear Jackie:

This is a great email. The ego is a tricky part of us. On one hand the ego is acting as our protector and wanting to keep us from harm when the truth is most times it is keeping us from succeeding and creating what we need in life.

What is helpful to do is first give your ego a job. When you become aware that your fear or the feeling of lack is surfacing within you, be aware that is the ego trying to keep you small. I would like you to say to your ego: “why don’t you come to the other side of the road with me.” Share with your ego the truth of whom you are and that this is the path you are now taking. Let the ego know that she/ he can also participate and help you on this new path.

Once you give your ego a job and a purpose it will join you on the other side of the road. It would also serve you to have a game plan for yourself and be prepared to have several discussions with your ego mind. This way when your ego wants to take you out or it challenges your decisions, you can so “No Thank You,” that is not true–this plan is my plan to propel me forward. Then again invite your ego mind to please join you.

One last suggestion–I would also like you to understand your relationship with money and bless money with gratitude.

Blessings,
Joan Marie, the Gift – Intuition Girl
