When I Wish upon a Star…

Do you remember a time when you saw a shooting star and you caught yourself making a wish? It’s okay to admit that you have… a lot of us have. And even without a shooting star, we sometimes find ourselves wishing for things that we do not have, for what others may have, and things that we could have had. Quite frankly, it is probably human nature to strive for bigger and better things…
This reminds me of a song that topped the charts back in 1995. Hip hop rapper Skee-Lo debuted with his one-hit wonder, “I wish”. In his song, he talks about how he wishes he was a bit taller, among many other things. The funny part about the lyrics is that the whole song is a big “pity party”. When wishing becomes the greater part of who you are, you begin seeing all the negativity in your life opposed to all the blessings that surround you now. In fact, when you create your own pity party, you can no longer focus on open doors of opportunity. The world becomes too difficult and all that you see is what you cannot have. That is not the way you are intended to live your life.
What is it that you heart desires right now? If it is a relationship, then what are you doing to create and manifest the connection you are seeking? If you are simply wishing for a relationship it is simply not good enough. Words and thoughts without deeds go nowhere. The same applies to the word “try”. For example, “I tried to have a relationship but i
t just didn’t work out.” If you truly “tried”, what was it that you did differently to make things work more effectively and mutually? Make a list of things that you can do right now to create the life you want to lead. After you have crafted your list, you need to follow through on those modifications so that you will not just be trying, but instead, doing.
“When you DO all that you can do to support and manifest the dreams that you have made in your heart and soul, then your wishes can come true.” When you DO what your inner soul truly wants you to do, all the obstacles you see before you become stepping-stones and opportunities for learning and growing. Remember too, dreams and wishes are the heart’s laughing place – a tender spot in your heart that keeps you striving and thriving. Never let go of your heart’s desires – but in order to fulfill them, you have to do more than just try – you simply must do.

Slam Dunk!

The ball is in your court. You have the opportunity to make a three-pointer from the goal line. At first there is a loud roar, and the other players are watching your every move. As your eyes focus on the net, the only thing stirring on your body is the bead of sweat rolling down your forehead. Just as quickly as the crowd roared, there is a sudden silence. Not even a hush can be heard around the court. The only thing between you and the net is your clear concentration to make the ball through the hoop. All your hard work and efforts have finally paid off. What you do with that ball at this moment is going to affect the outcome of the game…and maybe even your future as a professional ball player. Do you take the shot or do you walk away?
Nothing is impossible to those who believe. Do not refuse to move onward and upward to grab your greatness! Possibly you just say to yourself-I can’t do it-it is too hard! Dreams can become reality for you when you choose to manifest the power of you inner abilities and your inner soul. When you seek the courage in your heart like so many have done before you, you pave the way to achieving that what you truly desire in life. Do not forget that you are already standing on the court. The ball is either within reach or maybe even in your hands.
Whatever it is that you are choosing to pursue at this moment — a job, a new home, a relationship — is entirely within your own hands. You shape your reality…you choose your destiny. Are you going to take the shot? For what are you waiting? This moment will not last forever. At some point you must make that initial forward motion and keep the momentum going. Life waits for no one and the longer you stand in the same spot, the further you fall behind and the more you lose sight of your focus. I have said it before and I am saying it again, “keep it going. Keep it going.” Set your sights and take the shot at the goal — if you believe, nothing is impossible.

Well, I am sure Rupert Holmes had a fun time writing that song (“Escape”); but what do you fantasize about in your own life? Where does your mind drift to “escape”? How do you de-stress your daily life?
Some of you may feel so overwhelmed at day’s end that you are ready to find a cave and hide in it. But that does not really de-stress your life. That just makes you feel an even greater sense of urgency to run away from it. So what do you do to really escape the boredom, the monotony or the challenges of your life?
Sometimes, the best way to combat challenges and trials is not to run away from them, but rather to face them head on. You can do this each morning by preparing yourself for whatever comes your way. You do this by planting the appropriate seeds in your mind to make the best of any situation. What are the seeds that have been planted in your mind, in your heart that need to be watered by you so they don’t dry up and rot? If you have a goal that you have wanted to achieve, do you simply allow your thoughts to evaporate into thin air? You must believe in new possibilities from the moment that you awake until the time you go to sleep at night. Yet to take this a step further—even in your sleep you must believe in all your possibilities –in other words, it is 24/7.
Manifesting Inner Peace
In order for you to actually materialize your dreams, you have to dream big and nurture those dreams day in and day out. When you do, you enhance your potentiality in everything that you encounter. The other part of that equation is that you must always practice patience. Rome was not built in a day. It will not only take persistence, but it will also take personal discipline to awaken yourself to the inspiration and motivation that you need to acquire for your personal “escape” and the sacredness in everyday living.
If you feel like you must run away from your problems, immerse yourself in the things that you find most joyful – whether that is playing the guitar, sculpting, writing or just being in nature, it is through these actions that we find solace and countenance to appreciate the beauty and profoundness of our Inner Self. This in turn, leads to the pathway of an “escape” and more importantly, to real resolve.

Prayers needed for dreams and visions

Joan Marie,
Do you believe that everybody’s death is pre-ordained? Recently I received a message (a whisper) that the next person around me to die is going to be my 14 year old son. After receiving the message I had a very detailed dream about his death. I know that dreams are sometimes to be used for the symbolic messages but this time, I can’t shake that gut feeling that this is some type of warning or psychic message. The reason this dream disturbs me so much is because for the past year I have had dozens of psychic dreams.
It seems as what I see in my sleep comes to reality within days, weeks or months of the dream. It’s pretty amazing to say the least.
I can remember back when I was younger I had visions in my dreams that also came true. Some of these visions came with that gut wrenching sick feeling that you know there is nothing you can do about it; that it’s going to happen and that is the feeling that is coming with these messages/dreams.
I know there is nothing I can do to intervene with God’s plans so I’ve begun to pray for my son’s safety and protection. Please, if you don’t mind, say a prayer too. I believe in the power of prayer.

Hi Elizabeth:
I know what it is like to have your dreams become a reality. My true feeling concerning your son is— this is just a message of awakening for him on many levels. Remember, we all have free will; however, I feel he may be going through a death and a rebirth— a metamorphosis. It would be beneficial for you to have a conversation with him about his feelings and life choices and listen to what he has to say. He may need your support and encouragement.
I would also encourage you to pray to Archangel Michael and ask him to wrap his wings around your son making him invisible to any negativity. I encourage you to keep envisioning your son as healthy and protected—living and experiencing a fruitful life. There was another woman I met who saw her son in an accident. She continually placed her energies on seeing him arrive home safely. There was an accident but it ended up being very minor for him.
Anything is possible and prayer is powerful. Hold your son in the highest intention of safety, being secure and free from negative forces coming near him and we will do the same.
Please also remember, our journey here on earth is temporary. Enjoy your son moment by moment and invite laughter and joy into your lives.

Following your dreams

Some say that your dreams are nothing more that your fantasies, like pipe dreams or a fairy tale that never comes true yet I thought that my dreams were signs that I should take seriously.
Am I being foolish? Can you give us some clarity on this subject? We hope to hear from you soon.

Dear Daniel,
George Bernard Shaw had a remarkable revelation when he noted, “You see things; and you say, ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were; and I say, ‘Why not?’”
Shaw had the correct frame of mind to conceive that when you dream, and you believe that you can achieve the seemingly impossible, that nothing is impossible. That is also my belief.  In other words, when you believe in yourself and you concentrate on achieving greatness in life, you can…and you will manifest your goal.
We are the creators of our destiny. Effort begins by imagining and designing the roadmap of which you’ve been dreaming. I encourage you to dream big dreams. Begin by visualizing the dreams you’ve conceived and follow through on the design that you’ve developed to fulfill those dreams so that you can create the life you’ve always wanted to lead.
As Shaw proposed the question, “why not?” So should you. Do not limit yourself by thinking negatively and believing that you cannot accomplish your dreams. We are all only bound by the limitations that we set upon ourselves. And I encourage you not to listen to the limitations that others place in front of you either.
Ever heard the expression, “the sky’s the limit”?  There is no ceiling. Your dreams can be achieved; and they begin with you.
