Are you the Master of your own Disaster?

Posted by Intuition Girl

Are you like a lit fuse waiting to go off at any minute? There are a lot of you out there who may not intentionally wreck havoc on your own lives, but somehow you manage to neglect ongoing problems until they explode beyond your control. This goes for health issues, domestic situations, financial circumstances or personal and professional relationships, among others.

For example, if you discover a small oil leak coming from your car, do you ignore it or would you have it checked to make sure it is not something majorly wrong? The same holds true for little aches and pains that continue to fester until you are so unhealthy that you are unable to perform simple tasks. And in relationships, it is harder still because if there is a problem and you fail to address it head on; you find that the issue winds up becoming much more serious than it could have been had you taken the time to resolve it.

In a perfect world, time, jobs, families, friends and other day-to-day hassles are never a problem. However, none of us live in a perfect world. I know you are all limited by time constraints. You have household duties to attend to, children to care for, jobs that take up long hours of your day, significant others who require your love and affection, yard work, pets…and everything in between. But when you recognize there is a problem, and you choose not to initiate a resolution for it, I guarantee that whatever the problem may be, will grow by leaps and bounds.

Of course there are other little crises you may craft by telling a modest lie. Maybe you thought it was a good idea at the time, but by the time the lie comes full circle, what hole have you dug for yourself? There is truth in the old adage that says, “What a tangled web we weave when at first we practice to deceive.”

In order to stop being the maker of your own mischief, at all times take the initiative to reflect on the issue (or issues) at hand. Ask yourself if it is something that could have serious repercussions. It is also always wise to plan ahead for unforeseen events – meaning that before you act or speak, know ahead of time what your actions or words can and will do. If you have to think twice about it, it is probably not a good idea to say or do it. If it is something that continues to weigh heavy on your heart, it is presumably not in your best interest. Remember, your actions, thoughts and deeds are a reflection of who you are. Only you have the vision and choice to direct your present and your future. When you understand that you are guiding your outcome, then only will you cease the destruction that you have been creating for yourself.

Clarity It does a Body good

How smart or dumb you are depends on where you’re standing,” said Burt Reynolds in Smokey and the Bandit. We do not always have the ability to think clearly or understandingly. In fact, it would be unfair to analyze others when we ourselves do not have a stable and harmonious balance in our own lives.

Remember, our own life experiences are not nearly as wide as we think they may be and do not mirror every individual around us. Not all (of us) can understand what or how something is affecting another if we are not standing in that individual’s shoes; primarily because we come from different backgrounds, different cultures and different lifestyles. We mirror each other only in that we breathe, live, love and coexist. We can only find clarity in what is happening in our own lives and how we are being affected by our own choices.

If you are clear in mind, body and spirit, you can begin to not only see the bigger picture for yourself but for those around you and in the environment which you share. Ever heard that phrase how one man’s trash is another’s treasure? Or, in another case, how one man’s loss is another man’s gain? We cannot always see eye to eye on all issues, but when we start to clean up our own backyards, then we can work together to salvage and bring balance to all of our relationships. Think of your mind as a window. When you pull up the shades on the panes, you shed light on all that is around you. You are able to see all the areas that need clearing, cleaning, and dusting. You are also able to see all the beauty that surrounds you. Having an open mind (or an open window) to the world around you gives you a sense of heightened awareness that makes things brighter, lighter and injects insight into the darkness (or the sorrows of your mind).

Having clarity and vision are gifts that are not only enlightening, but powerfully useful when exploring your dreams, communicating your goals, and achieving them. Let the light shine through the panes of your mind so that you too, can begin to truly understand how the flow of Universal energy works in your life.

Stop Reading between the Lines!

Posted by Intuition Girl

It’s the writing on the wall that we often do not wish to see – especially when it comes to relationships. When you have held onto a relationship with certain people, behaviors, material things or emotions for a long time, you become comfortable and complacent – even if the relationship is no longer warranted, harmful or desirable. You must admit that when you continue to stay in these situations that you are reading between the lines, seeing a mirage of a vague hope for a miracle or a change – but not the actual “writing on the wall”. It’s the in-between lines that keep you hostage. Are you sitting perched upon your wall oblivious to what is actually happening in your life? Why? Is it because you feel that you do not deserve better or that you cannot do any better than where you are?

To move forward in life, you must remove the blinders from your eyes. Look at what is right before you. You must stop placing the person or situation in your life on a pedestal. Remember, you must first love yourself in order to share that love with others. It is not selfish to step back from a relationship to get a bird’s eye view of the actuality of it. When you begin understanding what the writing is literally speaking to you, you can say, “no more.”

There is an old adage that says, “If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours forever. If it doesn’t, then it was never meant to be.” That is the way you must shape your mind and your heart. I know it’s difficult sometimes separating the two. They sort of melt together and get mixed up along the way. You do not have to “fall out” of love in a relationship, but you must learn to “fall in” love with yourself so that you can recognize what is healthy and helpful in your life and what is unhealthy and harmful to you.

You are a remarkable individual, perfect and beautiful in every single way. This is how the Higher Power created you. This is not a revelation; this knowledge has been with you all along. Read the writing on the wall. Listen to what your gut feeling is telling you. Look at the relationship from all sides. Ask yourself, “Is this relationship helping me or is it hurting me?” Once you stop seeing your own misconceptions and start seeing the reality and the truth of the matter, you will be free from your self-imposed captivity.

Reaching your Inner Core

Posted by Intuition Girl

When is the last time you have felt that special part in you – your vital source? Your vital source, soul being, chi or life force keeps your heart beating, your life flowing and your mind ticking. It is that vast part of your true being that charges every magical moment in your life. If you have allowed your vital source to fall to the wayside because you have stretched yourself to thin – be it at work, at home or in relationships, you begin to lose touch and all sense of what your true being is and what it can be.

To reconnect with your inner core, you must relinquish all your fears and any emotional baggage or relationships that are breaking down your defenses. When your natural defense mechanisms are worn down from strife and past traumas, you tend to stay disillusioned and satisfied with yourself – even if your life is hardly bearable.

I want you to stop for a few minutes and genuinely think about who you are, where you have been, where you want to be, and where you are really going in your life. Now ask yourself the following questions – and I want you to be brutally honest with yourself:

  • Am I truly happy at this time in my life?
  • Am I healthy and at peace?
  • Is this who I really am?
  • Is this who I wanted to be?
  • Did I set reachable goals?
  • Have I achieved the goals that I’ve set?
  • Is this the path on which I really want to be?
  • Is this the right track for me to take?
  • Will I be where I want to be in six months, one year, five years, etc.?
  • In the end, will it be worth it?

Now that you have candidly answered all of these questions, can you move forward in your life beyond a shadow of a doubt without any regret? If you cannot, then it is time to reach deep inside and feel that sense of worth, motivation and inspiration that only your inner core can provide you. To do this, you must simply ask your higher source for the will and strength to feel what it is to be truly alive. Daily meditation, deep breathing exercises and affirmations often help rebuild and strengthen your inner core’s foundation. Once you have reconnected with your soul being, you will be living with the inner power and stamina to be happy, healthy and to achieve greatness in every area of your life.
