In addition to using a number of personal growth tools like the Manifestation Method, I want you to focus on the above statement.  One of the many reasons why individuals seemingly fail in life is not because they’ve “failed;” but because they’ve become so used to negative emotions that they believe it’s perfectly normal to live in a negative state of mind.  This could not be further from the truth.  You have a destiny to fulfill, and the Universal flow of energy wants to put you in perfect alignment with what you are supposed to accomplish in life — but you can only fulfill your life purpose if you’re emotionally, mentally, and spiritually prepared to accept your rightful place in the universe.  I’m routing for your success, so I’m offering you three tips that can help you to succeed and become a winner in life:

1. Set your goals. I can’t stress this enough.  Whatever it is you’re trying to reach in life, I want you to visualize it and see it through.  For instance, a friend of mine takes daily walks.  Though the distance seems great from afar, she sees the water tower as her destination point.  The whole time she is walking, she paces herself and keeps her eye on the water tower.  By keeping her eye on her destination point, she doesn’t succumb to the “oh, it’s too far away,” mindset.  She focuses in on it, and she keeps going until she’s made it there.  That’s the same way you need to view and achieve your goal.  It may not be directly affront of you, but it does exist.  This means that the potential for success is clearly in view; but you must keep your eye on the ball before you can reach it.

2. Use your intuition. You must distinguish your personal and professional life to jumpstart your future.  If you know what your goals are in both planes of view, you can establish a level playing field to create momentum and acquire real substance in your life.  Make sure you use your intuition to discover what it is you really want to attain in life — because when you do, you’re able to toss out the junk thoughts and maneuver your way toward the best plan of action to achieve your goals. This means you need to meditate on your life as a whole. It’s equally important to meditate on your relationship with yourself first.  By getting in touch and falling in love with your intuitive soul, you create a mutual flow of positive energy that you not only emit but are able to receive.  The more you meditate, the more powerful your inner wisdom becomes. This enables you to clear the clutter from your mind and channel harmony back into your life.

3. Turn walls into stepping stones. Personal growth and professional growth come at a cost.  That cost is comprised of the life lessons we are sometimes forced to learn…even if we may not always agree with them at the time. To become a winner in life, you must use every angle to your advantage.  And yes, that means you need to look at every thing that comes your way as an opportunity.  Challenges are presented to us so that we can learn and grow.  We may not immediately view these proverbial walls or roadblocks as openings for success; however, hindsight is always 20/20, and we often discover that these challenges are in fact ways to advance and become a winner in life.

Every man and woman has the opportunity to create success and become a winner in life.  How you proceed in life is just as important as waking up every morning.  Every day, when you arise, I want you to say aloud: “I am a winner and success becomes me.”  When you meditate daily on becoming a winner, you start to think, speak, and act like one.  It’s really not rocket science, but it does require commitment from you.  Are you dedicated enough to become a winner in your life?

What gifts? Life is full of experiences waiting to be embraced. When you have the clarity and an open heart to receive the blessings that lie before you, you discover that the Higher Power of your sacred self is ready to assist you whenever you ask.

How do I facilitate my sacred self? First, you must make a strong commitment to yourself and set a few moments aside to meditate in silence, or listen to your favorite meditation CD. While you do, rid your mind of all negativity. Visualize a virtual trash bin, and discard all the garbage in your mind. When you’ve completely emptied your thoughts from the business of your life, focus on the nature that surrounds you — and if you aren’t outside, find something to hone in on like a dimly-lit candle, a plant, or maybe just a good book of poetry.

You must spend “alone time” with your sacred self so you can acquire a sense of your footing, and to “welcome the unknown into your world.” Close your eyes and feel the all-empowering love of the Great Divine flow through every part of your living body, every cell and every breath…ah, now breathe deeply as if you were gaining your first breath of fresh Spring air — now open your eyes. Without any reservations, ask the Higher Power to help you find what it is you are searching for in life. Ask how to discover the passion that will help you to create the destiny that you so desire.

Because you have awakened your inner consciousness, you are suddenly more aware and more tuned into your sacred self; and the answers that were slow in coming in the past, are now within your mind’s eye…and within your reach. You see, the vision that you gain through your sacred self is not only your intuitive consciousness, but your inner guide to fulfilling your destiny.

What resources, you ask? Each and every one of us has more resources than we could ever imagine. To begin with, we all have a level of mental intelligence that allows us to look at situations with a logical perspective. But, we also have spiritual and emotional intellect that enables us to see beyond the impeding object or circumstance.

When we channel our intuitive resources to create an alternative route to achieving goals, we find strength and resolve to move forward in life. Yes,making lemonade out of lemons is what it takes to succeed in every aspect of life.

Marie Curie comes to mind when I think of this statement. Here was a bright, young woman with high aspirations, and a life path destined for greatness. Even when she was denied admission to a regular university (because she was a female), she made lemonade out of lemons and worked as a teacher while she gained an underground education through the “Floating University.” Imagine had Marie allowed this roadblock to stop her from attaining her education…she would have simply faded into history as just another Polish citizen. She demonstrated that her life force was much stronger than life itself, and went on to not only becoming the only woman to win two Nobel Prizes, but the first person to win or share two Nobel Prizes in the field of science.

Of course Marie Curie is not the only individual in history who made lemonade out of lemons. Another young man from Tupelo, Mississippi was born in a small, two-room house. He was harassed during school by his classmates, and suffered from a stuttering speech. Later, he grew up in public housing; and fellow students didn’t recognize him as anyone special, nor did they think he’d ever amount to much in life. The young man of whom I speak is none other than the late, great Elvis Presley. He could’ve listened to all the folks who made fun of him, or he could have allowed his impoverished life to bring him down — but he didn’t. And, that made all the difference.

Are you ready to make lemonade out of lemons? Life will throw some strange things our way, but when we take what we have and create a life worth living, and a life full of opportunity, we can transform destiny and manifest success in the most unlikely places.

Recently I had a lively conversation with an elderly gentleman; who out of the blue, began telling me a little bit about his life story. The dialogue began over a young girl wearing flip-flops in less-than-warm conditions, and he light-heartedly inquired, “Are you so poor that I need to buy you a pair of shoes to keep your feet warm?”

Needless to say, he began speaking in a soft tone about his travels around the world – how at the mere age of 19 he’d served in World War II and had lost his whole battalion except he and his jeep driver (who were lucky enough to have survived); how he’d jumped over 100 times from a plane during the Vietnam war in ‘68, and about the pride he had in his son, who was now going to be a retiring colonel in the military. I recall listening to this individual with wide eyes and an open heart. As he spoke, he had a gleam in his eye and he never once complained about the troubles he had seen. He was such an inspiration, in fact, that words escaped me. As I continued to listen to this apparent widower, who was well into his late 70s, I could feel a sense of happiness – and a sense of radiance. Suddenly, it dawned on me that this man was walking with a rolling walker. I guess he noticed my catching the sight of his walker, when he said, “Yep…I got this when they had to take half my leg inVietnam,” he continued, “The docs have done all they could for me, and I’m just blessed to be here today.”

The dialogue was one of those, “I wish you could have been there” moments where others could have shared in this inspirational conversation. Getting “past the hard stuff” had apparently been his motto in life; and here he was today walking with half a leg, and never once blaming anyone or anything. I imagine that through all his trials, he had never thought of them as such. Challenges, maybe…but never bad luck. Then I began thinking about how during the entire conversation, I had never noticed his “handicap;” presumably because the man never let on that he had one.

You see, getting past the hard stuff in life is what makes us grow and learn. It’s not that God is punishing us for being who we are – He’s merely giving us a push to get us going to where we need to be in life. I never got the older man’s name, but I assume wherever he is right now, he is glowing in his radiance, and enjoying the life that God has given him. Shouldn’t we all be thankful for the life God has given us?

When I look back at being two and a half years old staring out into the ocean, watching my brothers and cousins playing, I see contentment in a child’s eye. It looks like I decided to take a break and to observe how they do things. You see even as a child I loved to watch and study people. Knowing me I was probably getting messages and did not yet learn how to communicate them properly.

In that moment, I was happy and content breathing in from my core a deep sigh of relief that life was good. In that moment I had it all. Can you remember a time in your life when you were simply “ being” in the moment and all was good?
